How your order reaches you, what the packaging is made of, and where it goes afterwards.

- Box in paper recycling, bags in general waste.
- You can reuse the box for a return.
Shipping box
We ship in boxes made of FSC®-certified material. The FSC label means that the wood used for the cardboard comes from forests managed according to the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council, or from controlled sources.
Protective bags
To make sure your clothes arrive clean and dry, each item is packed in a thin protective bag. The material is certified as industrially compostable under the EN 13432 standard. This means it breaks down within a defined time under the conditions of an industrial composting facility. It does not behave the same way in a garden or in nature.
How to dispose of it
- Box: paper recycling.
- Protective bags: general waste. In most areas they do not belong in the food or garden waste bin, because many composting plants sort such bags out. They also do not belong in plastic recycling.
Returns
If something doesn’t fit, you can reuse the original box for the return. How returns work is explained under Shipping & Returns.
FAQ
Why do you use protective bags at all?
Without a bag, light-coloured items more often arrive dirty or damp. They would then have to be sent back, which means more transport than a thin bag.
Can I put the bag on my compost heap?
We advise against it. The certification refers to industrial composting facilities, not to a garden compost.
Can I order without bags?
Not at the moment. If that changes, we will say so here.
