TENCEL™ is a brand name of the Austrian manufacturer Lenzing for lyocell and modal fibres made from wood. According to Lenzing, TENCEL™ lyocell is produced in a closed-loop process in which over 99% of the solvent is recovered and reused. According to the manufacturer, the wood comes from certified and controlled sources.
The lyocell fibre is known for its high wearing comfort, its breathability and its ability to absorb and release moisture well. With growing interest in traceable textiles, TENCEL™ is becoming increasingly important in the fashion and textile industry.
