You wear a good pair of jeans more often than almost any other piece. Which cut suits you depends on your figure, your everyday life and your shoes. Here we introduce the most important cuts and show you how to style them.
The cuts at a glance
- High-waist skinny: high waistband, slim to the ankle. Goes with long jumpers, blouses and boots.
- Flared: slim at the top, flaring from the knee. Lengthens the leg, especially with heels or platforms.
- Straight cut: the all-rounder. Looks relaxed with trainers and smart with loafers.
- Slim and regular for men: slim sits closer to the leg, regular gives more room through the thigh and knee.
What our jeans are made of
Our jeans are made from organic cotton, usually with a little elastane for freedom of movement. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides and synthetic fertilisers. Depending on the item, the fabric is certified to GOTS or OCS. What applies to your style is shown in the "Production" tab on the product page. They are made in Izmir, Turkey.

Look 1 · Women, everyday
Dark skinny jeans with a basic shirt
A dark wash always looks a little more elegant. Combine the skinny jeans with a white T-shirt and a denim jacket in a lighter blue. The contrast between the shades of blue keeps the denim-on-denim look from appearing too uniform.

Look 2 · Women, office
Flares with a blouse and heels
The flared shape is all about length. Wear the flares with block heels or platforms so the hem ends just above the floor. On top, a blouse or a fine knitted jumper works well. A bag in cognac or black completes the look.

Look 3 · Men
Light jeans, dark top
Light jeans in a regular fit look fresh and relaxed. A knitted jumper or a T-shirt in navy creates a calm contrast. If you prefer a slimmer fit, go for the slim jeans in Dark Navy, which also work with a shirt and jacket.
Tips for caring for your jeans
- Wash less often: jeans don't need to go in the machine after every wear. Airing is often enough.
- Inside out and cool: when you do wash them, turn them inside out and wash at a low temperature with similar colours. That way the colour lasts longer.
- Repair small damage: an unravelled hem or a loose button is quickly sewn.
- Worn-out jeans: pass them on, take them to a textile collection point or turn them into bags and patches.
More on this in our care guide. Jeans are also a building block of every capsule wardrobe.
FAQ
Do organic cotton jeans shrink?
If you wash them cool and let them dry in the air, they keep their shape. High temperatures and the tumble dryer can make cotton shrink.
Why is there elastane in the jeans?
A small amount of elastane makes the fabric stretchy. This makes the jeans more comfortable and lets them move with you. The exact composition is on the product page.
