What makes recycled polyester special
1. Made from PET bottles
Recycled polyester (rPET) is made from used PET bottles that are collected, cleaned and processed into new fibres.
2. REPREVE®
REPREVE® is a brand of recycled fibres by the US manufacturer Unifi, Inc. A process developed by the manufacturer makes it possible to verify the recycled content in the fibre.
3. Less new crude oil
By using recycled raw materials, no new, petroleum-based polyester is needed for these fibres.
4. Certified
Depending on the item, our products containing recycled polyester are certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) or the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS).
5. Hard-wearing & easy-care
Recycled polyester has the same properties as new polyester: durable, shape-retaining and colourfast.
6. In blends
We often combine recycled polyester with other fibres such as organic cotton or LENZING™ ECOVERO™.
Our approach

Care tip
As with all synthetic fibres, tiny fibre particles can come loose during washing. We therefore recommend washing polyester clothing at a low temperature, with a full drum and no more often than necessary – a microfibre wash bag can also help.
