RWS Lambswool
RWS Lambswool at ORGANICATION

What makes RWS lambswool special
1. Certified origin
For our RWS items, we use wool from farms certified to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) by Textile Exchange.
2. Animal welfare
The RWS sets requirements for the welfare of the sheep, based on the “Five Freedoms”. Mulesing is prohibited under the RWS.
3. Land management
The standard also includes requirements for the management of grazing land, e.g. to protect soil and biodiversity.
4. Traceability
RWS wool is documented along the supply chain and certified by independent bodies.
5. Warm & breathable
Lambswool is fine and soft, keeps you pleasantly warm and balances temperature fluctuations.
6. Durable
With the right care, wool stays beautiful for a long time – airing it out often replaces washing.
Our approach
We use RWS-certified lambswool for selected knitwear. You will find which items are RWS-certified and their material composition on each product page. Find out more about the RWS on our Certificates page.
Care tip
Wool is naturally dirt-repellent and hardly absorbs odours. Often it is enough to air the garment outdoors. If necessary, follow the care instructions on the label – usually hand wash or wool programme at a low temperature, and dry flat.
